We had a great brunch here! Kevin was our server and he was very attentive and kind. At first we were apprehensive about the prices but excited to try the Latino cuisine - and I’m glad we didn’t let the price tag turn us away! Huge portions of absolutely delicious food! Hubby had the cortado and I had the cafe con leche - also very smooth and yummy coffees! My husband got the arepa plate - served with house made sausage, a piece of chicken, some plantains, eggs, black beans and salad of fresh fruit and avocado! Was a huge plate! I ordered the chilaquiles with chicken served with two eggs and the same beans and salad of fresh fruit and avocado! Again - huge portions of really amazing food. My husband soaked up every drop of the bean broth and I was sad that I was too full to finish all my food. You could hear the ladies cooking in the kitchen and you could taste the effort and love in the food. Absolutely delish! Will recommend for future visitors and we’ll return in the future.

Adorable corner cafe in the heart of downtown. Both service and food was excellent. We saw portion sizes are large on google and so split the breakfast arepa for a lighter lunch. It was super tasty! The plantains were amazing and the cheese stuffed arepa was excellent. Our server was delightful and the right level of attentive without hovering. Would absolutely recommend.

I was initally a hater because of the prices. I had just moved into the area and thought bomba was too rich for me. But after ordering their coffee and a nice chat with their owner Hector, I decided to give the food a shot and im glad I did. The coffee was really good. The portion sizes are huge here. Once the food came out I understood why the prices were what they were. If you have 2 people who aren't heavy eaters you could easily share an entree and coffees and be good to go. Also Hector gave me a bottle of his hot sauce on the house. Nice smokey and floral flavors. Might pick up a bottle when they reopen again.

The food was truly excellent — very tasty, fresh, and well-balanced. The breakfast options were thoughtfully put together: everything was sufficient and complemented each other nicely. Portion sizes were generous enough for one adult to feel full. On the downside, there were quite a lot of flies on the small terrace, and the tables felt crammed together — there just wasn’t much space to sit comfortably. The service was mediocre. Still, the food alone deserves a solid thumbs-up.

Visited Café Bomba during the Christmas weekend and had a lovely breakfast experience. The outdoor seating was pleasant, especially on a sunny day, and they kindly accommodated our dog. We tried Bomba Benedict and Banana Foster French Toast, which were tasty, accompanied by fresh veggies and fruits. The hot lattes were a nice addition. The waiter was friendly and welcoming, making it an overall enjoyable spot for a delicious breakfast. The city view of Asheville was a lovely backdrop for dining outdoors – watching people come and go, families strolling the streets, and tourists exploring downtown added to the charm. Would recommend to anyone who’s looking for a chill and dog-friendly place with great food & coffee options and nice views.
